A 70 – 90 g/m² loop-handle tote comfortably carries 5 – 10 kg in normal use. The handle fails before the fabric does, so the handle construction matters more than the GSM once you are past about 70 g/m².

Can you match our brand colour?

Yes — send a Pantone reference for the fabric and for the ink. Fabric colour is dyed at the fibre stage, so an exact match on a small first order may mean using a stock colour close to your reference; we will show you what is available before you commit.

What is the minimum order?

It depends on the fabric colour and the print, not on the bag. A stock-colour bag with a one-colour print starts low; a custom-dyed fabric with four-colour printing has to cover the dye lot and the screens. Send the specification and we will give you the number and the reason for it.

What are PP non-woven bags?

PP non-woven bags are made from polypropylene fibres bonded into a sheet rather than woven from tapes. The result is soft, light and smooth enough to print properly — closer to felt than to a sack. They are reusable, breathable, and recyclable as PP.

How the fabric is made

Molten polypropylene is extruded into fine continuous filaments, laid down as a web, then bonded by heat and pressure — the spunbond process. Nothing is woven, which is why the sheet has no grain and can be cut in any direction without fraying. That also makes it cheaper to convert than woven fabric, and weaker: non-woven carries shopping, not cement.

Choosing the GSM

Fabric weight in grams per square metre is the number that decides both cost and whether the bag survives its job. It is also the easiest place for a quote to be quietly cheapened, so specify it rather than leaving it open.

40 – 60 g/m²	Giveaway and single-event bags, dust covers, garment covers. Light loads only.
70 – 90 g/m²	The standard shopping tote. Holds a weekly grocery shop and survives repeat use. Most orders sit here.
100 – 120 g/m²	Premium retail and gift bags, wine carriers, anything with a rigid base insert.
Above 120 g/m²	Heavy-duty and laminated totes. Past roughly 150 g/m² a woven bag is usually the better buy.

D-cut bagsHandle die-cut straight out of the body. The cheapest construction and the fastest to make — best for light retail and giveaways.

W-cut / box bagsGusseted on both sides and the base so the bag stands up and holds boxed goods. The usual choice for takeaway and gift packaging.

Loop-handle totesSeparate handles heat-sealed or stitched on. Carries the most weight of the standard constructions and is what most supermarket bags use.

Laminated non-wovenA printed BOPP film laminated to the fabric. Photographic print, a wipe-clean surface and water resistance — the premium end.

Printing, and what each method costs you

Screen printing is the cheapest and holds well, but every colour is a separate screen and a separate pass — a four-colour logo costs far more than a one-colour logo at the same quantity. Heat transfer handles small detail and gradients on short runs without screen charges. Laminated printing gives photographic quality across the whole panel and is priced as a different product, because it is one.

Non-woven or woven?

If the bag carries a person's shopping and needs to look good doing it, non-woven. If it carries 25 kg of rice, feed, cement or fertiliser and is filled on a machine, you want a woven sack — a different fabric, a different line and a different price.
